The First Engine of the 5016 Series Unveiled – TJ2500PE

Teksan also unveiled its 2500 kVA generator powered by the first engine from Perkins’ new 5000 Series, the 5016.

The Perkins 5000 Series engines deliver high efficiency, low operating costs, and data-centre-focused performance across the 750–2500 kVA range. The engine family includes Inline-6/8, V12, and V16 configurations. The new TJ2500PE model is positioned as a prime and data-centre-oriented packaged solution in the 2500 kVA class.
Highlights
  • Data centre resilience: Complies with ISO 8528-5 G3 standards; accepts 50% load step from cold start and 100% block load when warm.
  • Prime operation: Oil and fuel filter service interval of 750 hours; primary fuel filter 1,500 hours. Enhanced sealing and combustion geometry improve reliability.
  • Extreme climate compatibility: Operates at –30 °C cold start and up to 50 °C without derating.
  • Sustainable fuel flexibility: Compatible with 100% HVO and B20 biodiesel.
  • Remote monitoring: Perkins Interlink & Condition Monitoring enables proactive monitoring and fault prevention.
Engine innovations
Optimised turbocharging, full-authority ECM, MEUI-C injectors, 4-micron fuel filtration, and reinforced sealing in 14 critical joints enhance overall performance. This architecture supports Teksan’s commitment to high availability in data centre and continuous power projects.
